Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleTo help us achieve this inter-agency vision, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our newly established NZTD team.
We are looking for an experienced individual who can actively help us maintain highly available, high-secure services whilst continuously improving the product and delivering value for our customers and stakeholders.
The focus for this role will be on supporting and enhancing the NZTD technologies and platforms which are mostly built around Azure technologies.
You will be taking an automate-first approach to building and configuring pipelines, managing services such as APIM, Azure Service Business, Kubernetes, ELK and using tools such as Powershell and Terraform.

To be successful as DevSecOps Engineer you'll need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and automating Azure services
- A drive to automate tasks, ensuring what you create not only delivers the desired functionality but is secure, sustainable, and costeffective
- Passion for continuous learning, keeping up to date with latest best practices and technology standards with the desire and personal drive to keep challenging yourself to grow and deliver valued services for travellers and our border staff
- Ownership for DevSecOps' full lifecycle, covering development, operational management, and incident support, while maintain the security and cost effectiveness of all services
- A focus on quality to minimize risk and impact on our stakeholders and reducing the need to fix incident management enabling more time for valueadd services
- Attention to detail, strong problemsolving skills and the ability critically analyse
- Ideally familiarity with Agile and ITIL methodologies.
