About the role:
We are looking for a Test Analyst to join our development team in Palmerston North. Objective's Palmerston North lab is a true centre of excellence.

Home to one of the region's largest development teams, and housed in an award winning facility, the Palmerston North Team develops Objective Trapeze.

Objective Trapeze is a product our customers love. The solution allows users to efficiently and accurately measure, calculate, compare, mark-up and stamp digital plans and drawings.

With its purpose-built tools and AI smarts, Objective Trapeze product is transforming the planning process for over 300 councils across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

The Trapeze team has 5 engineers and a Principal Test Analyst. They are an independent self-directed team that work closely with their Product Manager and Customer Success partners.

What your day will look like:

  • Executing assigned tests in various areas of functionality, usability and automation.
  • Undertaking a range of testing variations depending on project requirements (automation, functional, API, usability etc)
  • Supporting Delivery Leads and development teams with status updates, clarification of acceptance criteria and testing documentation.
  • Identifying bugs found during execution in a timely manner.

What skills you will need:

  • Commercial testing experience in a web development environment.
  • Experience in manual testing (including user testing)
  • Experience in automated testing and tools.
  • Knowledge of common software failures and faults; and development methodologies.
