Mō te tūnga | About the role


In this role you will be joining a supportive and professional team who support female tāngata in our whare based in Weymouth.

Our tāngata in this whare have a range of complex needs.


You will work alongside our tāngata supporting them in their rehabilitation and journey of change while supporting with every day needs such as bathing, food preparation, administering medication and a variety of other duties which enable an independent and great quality of life.


It's important to understand this is a whare/home environment for our tāngata so the more you can do to make it feel like a home the better.


Our RIDSAS service supports people who have been directed by the courts under the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) act.

This type of service supports the mission of Te Roopu Taurima by providing both residential and vocational support with a priority focus on lifestyle and rehabilitation programmes.

It's important you can work to a rotating roster as our whare operate on the follow shifts:

  • 7am-3pm;
  • 3pm11pm;
  • 11pm7am (sleep over/wake over includes an additional allowance);
  • 1pm9pm.
The roster includes working weekends.
