We have an Intermediate and Senior Engineering Geologist opportunity in Ōtautahi Christchurch Ground & Underground Engineering team.


You will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects - from planning, investigation, geohazard assessments and characterisation through to designs for geohazards.

Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life':

  • Bring experience in Engineering Geology to Aurecon opportunities and projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of guidelines, technical standards, legislation and codes of practice appropriate to engineering geological practice in New Zealand.-
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods including written analyses and reports
  • Bringing your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and developing new business using your existing industry networks

We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.- A tertiary qualification in Engineering Geology or Geology (we are open to accepting broader Geology experience)- Proven track record in engineering geological assessments and design for infrastructure projects- Broad range of experience in geological mapping, site investigations and detailed logging and sampling of soil and rock core.- Experience in aerial photography interpretation.- Ability to work collaboratively both internally within Aurecon and with our clients.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Our employee attributes will resonate with you - co-creative, commercial, sense-maker, inquisitive, engaging, resourceful, fearless and unconventional thinking.
