Laboratory Technician

• Process water, soil & plant samples for microbiological & chemical analysis
• Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
• Maintenance of laboratory records including the sample register, sample cards, workbooks and files; and the checking of results and data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Ensure that all work is documented, carried out on time and to the required IANZ standard

• Tertiary qualification in science or relevant discipline
• Previous handson laboratory experience preferred
• Proven understanding of basic principles and practices of qualitative and quantitative chemistry, mathematics, biology, and microbiology
• Analytically minded, with a great attitude and willingness to jump in and help where needed
• Eager to learn and gain KTP status across multiple disciplines
• Reliable, punctual, conscientious, and able to work independently and as a part of a team
• Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills
• Good attention to detail and excellent computer skills
