As our Graduate Planner you will be responsible for the processing of standard land use and subdivision consents along with providing quality advice to customers on planning matters, to ensure council meets its statutory obligations under the RMA and associated legislation.


Ideally we are looking for someone who has a keen interest, and ideally a qualification in an environmental planning degree or similar.

Strong written and verbal communication plus a can do attitude are also a must.

Due to legislation governing our work, you will also require exceptional time management skills, cope well working under pressure, and have exceptional attention to detail.


Our team is collaborative and innovative with a range of planning experience and are ready to support you with your learning and ongoing personal development as you commence your planning career with us at Waipā District Council.
