Working towards this goal, SODA (Strategy & Optimisation – Data & Analytics) has been investing in a centralised Data & Analytics team who are dedicated to the commercial finance function, ensuring that we thoroughly understand the business challenges before delving into the data to create solutions and products that benefit our people and, consequently, the business.

We believe in leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and after years of successful pilots and hard work we are now expanding our team with a Data Visualisation Analyst

Reporting into the Data Analytics Manager – Finance, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights as you design and build highly performant & scalable Power BI Visualisation Reports & dashboards to enable streamlined advanced analytics that supports our Data & Analytics Strategy.

With a focus of making better decisions faster, you will be asked to support & build data visualisations on Microsoft Power BI that will help solve business problems within the Commercial Finance Domain across Global Markets, Innovation & Brand (I&B) and Strategy & Optimisation (S&O) business units.

With the mindset of focusing on commercial and business problems first, you will then work the problems back into the data we have available to help create frameworks and solutions to move us forward.

To note: we are open to accepting applications at both a Data and Senior Data Visualisation Analyst level.

As our new Data Visualisation Analyst, you will be asked to build, support & maintain the data visualisation tools that will enable Fonterra to solve commercial & business problems and generate actionable insights across all our functions.

You will have a strong knowledge of Data Visualisation methodologies, techniques & principles, and hands on expertise in designing and developing data visualisation tools & dashboards in Power BI.

In addition:

  • Skilled in Power BI & delivering graphical representation of information or data (qualitative or quantitative),
  • Highly collaborative as you closely partner with key internal stakeholders to integrate AI solutions and automate processes within Power BI
  • Regularly monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports to ensure optimal efficiency and usability.
  • Remain abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and AI technologies, proactively proposing innovative solutions to enhance analytics capabilities
  • Establish and maintain semantic models as required to uphold data consistency and accuracy throughout the organization's analytics and reporting endeavours
  • Working with complex data, you will have the skills to understand and analyse data to be able to generate valuable actionable insights for the business,
  • Providing data visualisation guidance to the wider teams to help design data products or visualisation/analytical tools, automating manual processes, troubleshooting & problem solving,
  • Communicating with diverse stakeholders (data nerds, commercial finance, sales people, etc),
  • Working comfortably in a large team remotely and in person,
