Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity that offers flexibility and work/life balance? We have an opening for an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our onsite medical team on a casual contract.


About the role:


As part of the Health and Medical Services team you will play a key role by providing medical support across our busy manufacturing site based in Glenbrook, you will be part of a wide range of activities and initiatives designed to promote health and wellbeing.

Every shift brings something different

Your role will involve occupational nursing duties, emergency response, drug & alcohol testing, and rehabilitation. You will also be responsible for auditing, support for OHS improvement initiatives and record keeping and reporting.


Our medical centre operates as part of a 24/7 service to our employees, the nursing team work a 12hr shift pattern, although we will endeavour to provide advance notice of cover there may be times where you will need to be flexible and available at short notice, the hours of work will be based on a as and when needed basis.


About you:


While occupational health experience would be great it is not a necessity, at NZ Steel we value personality and attitude as highly as experience.

You will need to be comfortable working both day and night shifts along with working autonomously - a large part of this role is working sole charge.


You will need to hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate and have a strong interest in health promotion and workplace health and safety.

You will have a high level of integrity and professionalism, a demonstrated ability to problem solve and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

A Full NZ Drivers licence is a requirement for this role, full training will be provided.
