We are a good bunchAbout the Role | Mō te Tūranga The Enterprise Architect role is critical in bridging the gap between business strategy and technology solutions.

The role involves working closely with stakeholders in different business units to ensure the technology architecture aligns with business needs and drives innovation.

You'll be providing technical and thought direction to multiple cross-functional teams and business units, contributing to Strategic planning for technology systems and infrastructure to support business objectives Defining, collaborating, and communicating enterprise architecture development and processes to promote effective governance, ensure consistency, and informed decision-making Identifying and developing mitigating plans for technical risks to ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place Decision-making for key enterprise technology vendors and products Evolution of the Woolworths Enterprise Architecture and Technology Governance framework You are passionate about designing and implementing technology solutions that strategically align technology with business objectives, driving innovation and operational excellence to deliver optimal outcomes for our Woolworths NZ team and customers.

Within 30 days Learn about Woolworths NZ's values, mission, and strategic priorities Participate in Architecture team ceremonies to familiarise yourself with the Woolworths NZ ways of working Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs, roadblocks, and how the current architecture supports them Get a view of the Enterprise architecture landscape, understand the business capabilities and applications within a specific domain Familiarise yourself with the ongoing initiatives and their relevance to the overall technology and business strategy Within 60 days Strengthen relationships built during the first month with deeper collaboration Continue to build relationships with the wider stakeholders in the business Review existing documentation, internal policies, standards, and architectural diagrams Embed in a specific prioritised domain to get an understanding of the current technology infrastructure, software, and systems Identify immediate concerns and quick wins in areas requiring urgent attention, particularly any compliance issues or significant technology debt Define a clear short-term and long-term goal for your role, including areas you want to learn more about, certifications, or training you aim to complete Within 90 days Strengthen relationships built during the first two months with deeper collaboration Conduct a business capability assessment for a prioritised domain and identify immediate needs and concerns Identify opportunities and improvements within the Enterprise Architecture landscape from the capability assessment conducted Create a technology strategy and roadmap Ongoing Commitment to personal and professional development to enhance your skills Build and nurture relationships with Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Customer Experience practices to imagine, develop, and deploy solutions that will delight customers Create feedback loops in the domain you are involved in to refine architectural practices and outcomes continuously Stay updated with the latest trends in architecture and technology relevant to building a competitive advantage Working with Woolworths NZ | Me mahi tahi tatou ki Woolworths NZOur purpose is to make Kiwis' lives a little better every day.
