We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic and innovative Strategic and Corporate Planner to join our team and contribute to achieving our Council's strategic objectives.

In this role you'll lead the Council's Annual Reporting process and play an essential role in developing Council's Long Term Plan and Annual Plan. You'll also be involved in developing Community Plans, monitoring the Strategies, Polices and Bylaws work programme and maintaining oversight of Council's submissions to other organisations.

The person we're looking for will be driven to deliver for the Horowhenua community. You'll hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have a sound understanding of local government, along with strong project co-ordination skills. You'll have strong conceptual and analytical skills. You'll be great at collaborating with different people and bringing energy and motivation into the workplace. You'll be organised, and have a genuine desire to engage in long term, complex project work. You'll be confident to present in formal and informal settings, and you're someone who is proactive and gets things done. You're not afraid of a good challenge and thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment. Above all, you're a person who is a quick learner and can hit the ground running.
