The employer and the role
This is an established business that has been in operation for more than 2 decades and is now being relocated to Mount Maunganui.
The company specialises in a the repair of a range of transmissions and is the recommended repairer for many major insurance companies.
They are not looking to employ an automatic transmission specialist who is able to perform repairs and rebuilds on gearboxes for a range of vehicle makes and models, including 4x4 and light commercial vehicles.
About you
- Ideally you will have a solid number of years having worked as a transmission / gearbox specialist, particularly on automatic transmissions
- You must be fully capable of rebuilding, repairing, removing, and installing automatic transmissions
- Relevant automotive trade qualification
- Experience on the latest technology
- Solid diagnostics and repair skills able to diagnose automatic transmission problems and use electronic diagnostic tools
- Ability to work efficiently and deliver a high standard of workmanship
- Good problem solving ability
- Team player
- Motivated with a cando attitude
- Able to work without supervision
- Good levels of customer service
