About the role:


The Sales Development Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Inside sales team responsible for finding, converting and processing customer sales.

You will provide regular reporting on core KPIs across the team

to measure performance, understand gaps and promote initiatives to close those gaps.


You will be responsible for inspiring the team to reach our ambitious growth targets and ensure the team are well supported and provided with the relevant training to excel in their specific roles.


The Sales Development Manager is also responsible for the development and leading a best practice way of solution selling that is consistent across the team and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and personal development.


You will be responsible for:

  • Fostering teamwork directing leads to the best place for
highest likelihood of closing the deal

  • Providing high quality leadership, building and developing the skills and capability of the team, ensuring alignment with organisation culture and values
  • Developing and lead the inside sales team to convert enquiries
other lead channels in to processing customers

  • Providing and building a positive team culture that encourages staff to work co operatively in a challenging, empathetic, thinking and learning environment
  • Using company methodology, team input and own initiative to ensure staff attendance and retention
  • Developing a high performing sales culture through datadriven,
insights led approach

  • Developing and executing outbound lead acquisition campaigns.
  • Reviewing performance data daily
  • Developing and executing crosssell and upsell campaigns as new
products become available to maximise revenue across the
portfolio

  • Building relationships with key accounts and decision makers to
maximise customer retention

  • Crosssell and upsell new products as they become available
to maximise revenue across the portfolio

  • Producing daily, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting
on key metrics

  • Reporting on sales performance as well as relevant feedback
from clients, lead conversion inhibitors and competitor
activity

About you:

You will have:

  • 3+ years Demonstrated experiencing leading and inspiring a team of sales professionals, preferably in B2B Software
  • 5+ years of experience in business development/ sales using solution sales techniques
  • Experience training teams in the art of solution selling
  • Experience working with a sales system such as Salesforce or Dynamics.
  • People leadership experience
  • Proven communication, influencing, interpersonal and report writing skills
  • Effective work organisation skills with an ability to manage a wide variety of tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also be selfdirected and selfmotivated
  • Indepth knowledge, experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office software
