About the role
WellFood is looking for a motivated, reliable and punctual
Caf Cook to join our retail kitchen production team on a fixed term until
April 2024.
Christchurch Health Campus boasts a variety of caf s
catering to the needs of the thousands of patients, visitors and staff on
campus daily. Each caf has a different food mix, from value items through to
to a high street offer.
Our retail kitchen production team are responsible for ensuring
that the needs of each are met to the highest standard. Following standardised recipes
and using creative flair to present food that we can be proud of.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Complying with food
control plan, hygiene and safety standards and code of conduct

  • Setting up and stocking
work area, ensuring ingredients and final products are fresh and within use by

  • Following standardised
recipes

  • Ensuring waste is
accounted for

  • Ensuring items are
prepared in a timely manner and meet our quality standards

  • Resourcefully solving any
issues that arise, while communicating this with the head chef

  • Maintaining a positive and
professional approach with co-workers

  • Keeping station clean,
tidy, and well-stocked About You

We
are looking for a reliable,
Adaptability
multiple work areas and complete a variety of cooking and preparation tasks.

Skills/Attributes required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is
preferred

  • Passion for cookery and a creative approach,
adaptable when required

  • The ability to maintain speed without
compromising standards, work well under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills
  • NZQA Food Handling Cert Unit 167/ 168Full training will
be provided to all new staff joining our team
