About the opportunity

Are you a master of cow conversation? If so, you'll fit right in at one of our North Waikato community of stores.

You'll get to know all about our products and quickly find yourself chatting about everything from feed and fencing to footwear and fertiliser.

So, if you're keen to be part of something pretty big (we're part of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest company), and tackle everything from merchandising to customer service, this could be the perfect place for you.

Grow your agricultural expertise with heaps of opportunities to learn.

And if you're keen to take things one step further, we'll support you to gain a NZQA recognised, Level 3 Retail Qualification.

If you want to open the gate to a career in the ag industry, there's no better place to start than right here with us.

Our hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and rostered Saturday's 9am - 12pm.

About you
Yes, you like to be busy and you know your stuff, but we're all about people around here. So in our stores, service comes before sales.

That means that sometimes a few minutes helping throw a feed-sack or two on the back of a ute can build a true customer connection.

Ideally, you'll have done the customer service or sales thing before and be interested in agriculture.

That said, we're happy to talk to you if you're on a farm and want to trade your Red Bands for retail.

Sound like you? Other things that we're on the lookout for include:

• Rural experience would help. It's not essential, but in time we expect you'll be able to tell your rye grass from your ragwort.
• A good level of physical fitness you'll have no trouble getting your daily steps in
• Eager to learn we believe that what you know, helps you grow.
• Ready to share we need help getting the word out on our amazing products and solutions.
• Big on teamwork everyone at our stores shares the mahi.
• Keen on care our stores may be in small towns, but North Waikato is big on community.
