The Parliamentary Catering Team is dedicated to showcasing New Zealand's premium hospitality services & products; and delivering memorable experiences at Parliament.

The team manages several food and beverage venues within the Parliamentary precinct; each offering a different and unique experience; these include the Copperfields café, Pickwick's bar, and New Zealand's premium dining cuisine restaurant - Bellamys by Logan Brown.

A further function of the team is providing catering and hospitality services for the numerous functions that are held on the Parliamentary precinct.

About the role:

As Front of House at Bellamys by Logan Brown, you'll be an integral part of our highly passionate, collaborative, and motivated team, dedicated to delivering a world-class fine dining experience that embodies the true essence of New Zealand cuisine.

Nestled on the third floor of Parliament, Bellamys offers a truly unique setting. You'll be at the forefront of delivering impeccable service, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.

Your primary goal is to provide a seamless and personal experience, where professionalism, attentiveness, and friendliness are the hallmarks of your service.

With a deep understanding of our menu, including delightful dishes and enticing specials, you will confidently engage with guests, offering expert recommendations and addressing any inquiries.

Collaborating closely with our talented kitchen and service team, you will ensure that every request is met promptly, and every issue is resolved with grace.

You will normally work 10-hour shifts from Tuesday to Friday each week. From time to time, you may be asked to work 8-hour shifts across five days. You may also be called upon to support our other catering venues on the parliamentary precinct.

We're looking for someone who has previous experience in a quality dining establish, has a friendly, collaborative and flexible approach and is willing to continuously learn.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Tuesday to Friday (10 hours per day). From time to time, you may be asked to work 8-hour shifts across five days.

The appointing salary range for this role is $52,935 to $57,134 per annum.

Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
