The Parliamentary Catering Team is dedicated to showcasing New Zealand's premium hospitality services & products; and delivering memorable experiences at Parliament.

The team manages several food and beverage venues within the Parliamentary precinct; each offering a different and unique experience; these include the Copperfields café, Pickwick's bar, and New Zealand's premium dining cuisine restaurant - Bellamys by Logan Brown.

A further function of the team is providing catering and hospitality services for the numerous functions that are held on the Parliamentary precinct.


Mō te tūnga | About the role
As a Kitchen Hand, you'll be joining our production kitchen or Bellamy's kitchen teams.

In this role, you'll be providing support to the chefs and wider kitchen team in the daily operation of the kitchen.

Ensuring cleanliness standards are upheld and stock is put away and managed appropriately, you will also be called on for deliveries and support to our functions crew to ensure the successful delivery of our catering services.

We run a 7-day operation servicing events and functions across the Parliamentary precinct. The times of these events can vary and as a casual you may be called on at short notice.

The appointing salary range for this role is from $54,228 per annum pro-rated to 30 hours per week.

Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
