Assist with the ongoing development of a Health & Safety culture within a construction/manufacturing environment.

About the company


With around 140 permanent employees, split between Auckland, Hamilton, Whanganui and Wellington this company is a significant partner in the construction industry working on a variety of projects, both commercial and residential.


About the role


Working closely with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you will actively influence and engage people at all levels in the organisation, ensuring the continuous improvement, development, implementation, and review of health and safety strategies, policies, procedures and action plans.


Duties

  • Assist with the digital transformation of the health and safety system.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of tools and resources to support Health and Safety systems.
  • Assist with the management of the health and safety system assessments/audits.
  • Assist with the overseeing of health and safety subcontractors (engagement, prequalification assessment and inductions).

Skills and experience

  • An understanding of NZ health and safety legislation
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Open communication and working style.
