We are looking for three Chefs

Experience:
Three years in Curry &Tandoori Chef

Qualification:
No formal qualification, but must speak in English

We need a creative, motivated and energetic person who can manage the business, serve the customers, bring in new ideas and increase productivity.


Wages:
$29.66 (Permanent position)

Hours:
Rostered 30 hours per week

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day kitchen operation.
  • Prepare, cook and serve a variety of items in accordance with menus.
  • Ensure food is presented and that preparation and service are up to par in the kitchen.
  • Assisting in inventories and stock ordering management.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items.
  • Following all local and Government licenses are followed.
  • Assisting with menu planning.
  • Responsible for assessing food and labour costs.
  • Assisting with food costs are kept within budget.
  • Ensuring that all food prepared meets management expectations of quality.
  • Encouraging open communication between staff and management.
  • Ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean at all times.
  • Ordering stock in consultation with Management.
  • Monitoring Health & Safety requirements within the restaurant.
  • Ensuring that all staff comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Performance of any other duties as required by Management.
  • Should be able to train new staff.
