All food is cooked fresh daily on the premises.
We are looking for three Chefs
Experience:
Three years in Curry &Tandoori Chef
Qualification:
No formal qualification, but must speak in English
We need a creative, motivated and energetic person who can manage the business, serve the customers, bring in new ideas and increase productivity.
Wages:
$29.66 (Permanent position)
Hours:
Rostered 30 hours per week
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day kitchen operation.
- Prepare, cook and serve a variety of items in accordance with menus.
- Ensure food is presented and that preparation and service are up to par in the kitchen.
- Assisting in inventories and stock ordering management.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items.
- Following all local and Government licenses are followed.
- Assisting with menu planning.
- Responsible for assessing food and labour costs.
- Assisting with food costs are kept within budget.
- Ensuring that all food prepared meets management expectations of quality.
- Encouraging open communication between staff and management.
- Ensuring that the kitchen is kept clean at all times.
- Ordering stock in consultation with Management.
- Monitoring Health & Safety requirements within the restaurant.
- Ensuring that all staff comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Performance of any other duties as required by Management.
- Should be able to train new staff.
