As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, reporting to the Section Lead of Ground Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in our NZ Ground Engineering team.

Your expertise in geotechnical engineering will be instrumental in shaping a better tomorrow.

Imagine leading proposal development, overseeing site investigations, designing HSE plans, mentoring aspiring talents, conducting in-depth analysis, producing influential reports, while tackling complex geotechnical and geological challenges and project management.

This multifaceted position demands exceptional skills in managing bid processes, securing and executing projects flawlessly. Additionally, you will play a vital role in coaching, mentoring, and nurturing our team members, empowering them to thrive. We foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and technical brilliance, pushing the boundaries of Geotechnical Engineering.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Appropriate qualifications (e.g. degree in Civil Engineering)
  • Strong experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design for infrastructure projects (earthworks, foundations, retention systems, slope stability, geological modelling, material parameter development, consolidation and settlement)
  • Proven track record in planning, coordinating, and supervising geotechnical investigations
  • Delivering technical reports and geotechnical designs for transportation and general infrastructure projects (including seismic designs)
  • Collaborating with other members of the Ground Engineering and Transport engineering sections, as well as members of the Buildings, Water, Power and Consulting sections; providing inputs to project works and tender bids
