What is the opportunity?


Our Service Department is booming and we need a new Service Advisor (at either Intermediate or Senior level) here at North Western Toyota.

You'll be part of a well-oiled machine in our Service Department and represent a leading automotive brand in New Zealand.

As a Service Advisor you are the go between with our customers and our Technicians working on their cars.

You will lead and front the customer experience for our Service Department - creating an excellent customer experience is key to the success of our business.

It is often said that Sales will sell a customer their first vehicle, while the Service team sells the second and third.


Your day to day tasks would be:

  • Welcoming customers into the service department and making sure they are checked in on time.
  • Carrying out the service walkaround of our customers' vehicles (not just Toyotas) asking them about their vehicle and the collection process.
  • Working with the Workshop and within our CRM system to ensure a seamless customer experience. This includes looking at the customer's name before they arrive so you can greet them, removing roadblocks, and reviewing the loan car status.
  • Communicating the status of jobs to our customers clearly and in simple language.
  • Invoicing, costing, and filing all job cards daily.
  • Reconciling banking and passing tour internal Banking team.
  • Costing any Warranty and Toyota Care claims.

Ideal skills & experience

We are looking for someone with at least two years of Service Advisor experience

You will also:
- be organised and pride yourself on your time management abilities,
- have strong problem-solving skills, and ability to think on your feet,
- be competent with computers (we'll teach you the ins and outs of our systems),
- enjoy working with customers and working with them to understand and meet their needs,
- be well presented, and
- have a full driver's license and the right to work in New Zealand.
