We are
seeking a registered nurse with clinical experience within the Forensic setting to support our staff.
These include New Entry to Specialty Practice Mental
Health & Addiction (NESP) nurses, new to mental health practice Registered
Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, new Hospital Aides
and other clinical and non-clinical staff by
providing coaching and education sessions.
This position will
be based at the Forensic service in Specialist Mental Health Services
at Hillmorton Hospital.

  • About You
This is a three month position, ending on 30 June 2023. The position in Monday to Friday on day shifts
As a

Nurse Coach you will collaborate and consult with the NESP Nurse Educators and preceptors to determine and deliver coaching needs for staff.

This will include working alongside
these nurses for full rostered shifts and providing small group education
sessions, as well as providing structured orientations to new staff.
Strong
interpersonal and teamwork skills are imperative for this role, as you will be
working closely with preceptors, NESP and EN educators and staff. It is expected
you will have a relevant post graduate nursing qualification and have
experience in precepting. You will also need to have significant experience
working as an RN in an acute inpatient setting. Experience in delivering
in-service or other education to staff at service/divisional/professional or
organisational level is desirable but not essential.
Your
ability to provide innovative and creative coaching, along with building
effective relationships within the service, will be key to your success in this
role.
