We a looking for an experienced Health and Safety specialist on a 3-month contract basis to support our client, who is a large, well-known organisation in the infrastructure sector with Health, Safety and Wellbeing as a key pillar of their overall strategy.


You will have the ability to hit the ground running and to provide the H&S team with support as a seasoned H&S specialist.

You will be a strong communicator, well organised, and be comfortable working at all levels in the business.

Key Skill and deliverables will include:

  • Carrying out incident investigations and reporting
- ability to develop critical risk controls
- undertaking analysis and identification of key H&S indicators
- undertaking field audits and tests to ensure control effectiveness in practice
- providing H&S guidance to field workers, including risk/hazard identification best practice and management processes and other H&S initiatives in the workplace/site
- managing assurance programme of safety controls
- setting up of project risk register, attendance at project meetings to promote site specific safety initiatives
- ability to perform duties independently, with guidance and support from wider team, including the senior managers within the H&S division
- ability to travel within the Auckland region
