Permanent Full time - 40 hours per week
PACS administrator is responsible for maintaining picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) ensuring efficiency in all operations.The Te Manawa Taki District RIS/PACS solution is regional being shared across 5 Districts.**
Our team works closely with the RIS/PACS Admin teams across the region.

Join a small team working closely with our Regional RIS/PACS colleagues. Liaising and building positive relationships with Radiology and hospital personnel, vendors and project teams

  • Key responsibilities of the role:
  • PACS administrator is responsible for maintaining picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS), ensuring efficiency in all operations.-
  • Troubleshooting errors and addressing issues and concerns-
  • Gathering and analyzing data-
  • Testing and training for upgrades or new installations-
  • Liaising and building positive relationships with external parties

Mōu | About you

  • Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
  • PACS administrators need a deep understanding of medical terminology and standard procedures related to the field eg Dicom/Basic HL7 Messaging.-
  • They must be skilled in technical, radiology, analytical, and organization skills. Medical Imaging degree or relevant Computer science/Information Technology Degree.
Assisting with installation, coordinating roll-outs, along with specific end-user training, and providing support in person or remotely Manage processes including image workflow, archiving, and other activities related to image distribution.
