O & G Consultant Permanent Vacancy

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive O & G care to women of all ages, ensuring the highest standards of medical practice.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to develop accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their unique medical conditions, preferences, and overall well-being.
  • Perform a wide range of O & G procedures, such as prenatal care, antenatal screening, deliveries, cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, and fertility treatments.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, midwives, anesthetists, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Actively engage in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Medical degree and registration as an Obstetrician and Gynecologists' in New Zealand (or eligibility for registration).
