These roles are based in the Medical Progressive Care unit at Christchurch Hospital.

The ward is a 14 bed General Medical ward that specialises in the management of people unwell with acute medical conditions.

This role varies from day to day depending on the requirements of the ward, but ultimately you will be there to work in collaboration with the nursing team to make sure that everything is running smoothly and to its highest potential.

This could mean performing a variety of tasks such as:

  • Tautoko (support) the nursing team to provide manaaki and awhina to tūroro (patients)
  • Cleaning and tidying the ward
  • Stocking
  • Providing close observation support
