Fletcher Wood Products (FWP) is a newly established business within the Building Products division of Fletcher Building.

The business represents our re-entry into the wood sector which is supported by strong macro trends and contributes to NZ's goal of a low-carbon circular economy.


We are currently seeking a Planner/Scheduler to join our team helping to deliver this new $270m manufacturing plant in Taupo NZ.

This is a fixed term role for the duration of the construction phase, anticipated to reach completion by June 2025.

You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of this project to ensure that work streams are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Continually monitor progress against plans including inputting all master data
  • Analyse project data, including resource requirements, task durations, and critical paths, to identify project risks and issues
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are understood and delivered
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify project risks and issues
  • Maintain project reports and dashboards, including progress reports, resource utilization reports, and cost reports
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop and implement solutions to improve project planning and scheduling processes
We are keen to speak with people who have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the construction industry
  • Experience in using project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage project resources effectively
  • Knowledge of construction project management processes, including scheduling, resource planning, risk management, and cost management
