Chef/cook Job tasks and responsibilities.

  • Day to day preparation of authentic Indian cuisine menu items including curries, sizzlers tandoori dishes and sweets.
  • Operating traditional Tandoor oven in a safe & confident manner.
  • Assisting to planning & reviewing the menu if required. preparing food to meet special dietary requirements as mentioned in the menu.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared in accordance with traditional Punjabi North Indian methods.
  • Determine portions and pricing of dishes as described by the owner.
  • Prepare ingredients and cook various dishes as according to the menu items
  • Control the quality of the dishes and produce fresh meals to the customers.
  • Manage hygiene and safety standards in accordance with New Zealand health and safety requirement.
  • No qualification required however minimum 1 year experience in similar cooking training will be given to the committed person.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure but without loosing confidence.
  • A great attitude & enjoy working as part of a small team Professionalism & great communication skills needed. however english proficiency don't needed. can speak basic english and can understand.
  • A good knowledge of Amritsari Naan & Chole Bhature, Samosa, Jalebi, Rasgulla, Gulab Jamun, Barfi, Laddo and snacks knowledge is must.
  • You must be presentable, reliable and able to deliver under pressure.

$ $30.00 per hour
