Our Technology Directorate delivers technology for GCSB, NZSIS and the wider security and intelligence sector.

This position is key in supporting the directorate's purpose:

to ensure that mission requirements are met today and in the future - realising positive outcomes for New Zealand.

This is an exciting senior, tier 3 position within GCSB, leading our talented engineering team. The position has a wide scope, providing leadership to multiple areas such as infrastructure, network/systems, software development and integration. You will also have involvement in end-to-end lifecycle management, operational assurance for information security, testing, and other review processes.
As an experienced senior leader, you will be adept at delivering an ambitious engineering portfolio.

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following experience:

  • Technical leadership in an engineering or technology discipline
  • Senior leadership of information and communication technology within a large/complex organisation
  • Managing substantial technology programmes/projects
  • Leading technical people and other team members including managers of managers through a period of substantial change and growth
  • Stakeholder management at a senior level within a highpace environment
  • Attending to policy and security constraints within a compliancefocused organisation; and
  • Working in the intelligence and/or security sector would be an advantage
