Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We are seeking a Therapy Assistant for our Day Programme and Community Teams for our Tupu Ora, Eating Disorder Service.

Tupu Ora is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for, children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland and Northland region
Tupu Ora has a continuum of services including community/outpatient, intensive day programme and residential options.

The Tupu Ora community team provides specialist treatment to children, adolescents and adults presenting with moderate to severe eating disorders in the community and outpatient setting.

Our community team has both child and adolescent and adult sub-teams.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
We are seeking an individual who understands mental illness and recovery. Also, an understanding of eating disorders.
Ideally, you will have a certificate or diploma in Mental Health Support Work, or a similar qualification. It would also be beneficial to have work experience in a relevant mental health setting.
You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
