(Scope of Practice - Registered Nurse)

0.9FTE


This role will initially be within the peritoneal dialysis unit; an outpatient service where renal patients are trained and followed up within the community.

We are looking for a RN with the following essential competencies:
Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to form long term therapeutic relationships while remaining within professional boundaries at all times.
  • At least two three years nursing experience as a New Zealand registered nurse or Nursing Council equivalent registered nurse in a secondary facility.
  • Have an understanding of the implications of caring for patients with chronic illnesses.
  • Have a willingness to work in the community with home patients.


Previous Renal or Peritoneal dialysis experience will be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the suitable applicant.


Shifts are Monday to Friday in the Peritoneal Dialysis unit however, working shifts within Monday to Saturday according to the roster maybe required in the future.
