Job Title: Inventory Reconciliation Specialist (Temporary)

Duration: 3-month contract, ASAP start

About Us: We are a dynamic company operating in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, committed to delivering excellence in inventory management. With a focus on accuracy and efficiency, we are seeking a skilled Inventory Reconciliation Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis.

Role Overview: As an Inventory Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory data and processes. You will attend physical counting sessions less than once a week to take notes and ensure a proper process is being followed. Additionally, you will be responsible for running our cycle count program, investigating and correcting variances, documenting processes, and identifying areas for improvement. This role requires a combination of computer system analysis and attention to detail during physical counts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend physical counting sessions less than once a week to take notes and ensure a proper process is being followed
  • Execute and manage the cycle count program
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances
  • Document inventory processes and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements
  • Utilize ERP inventory management system and Excel proficiently
  • Work in both Dallas and Dynamics D365 systems to track and trace inventory to locate causes for inventory variances

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in FMCG inventory management
  • Background in inventory analysis, system analysis, inventory assurance, inventory management, inventory auditing, or inventory accounting
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP inventory management systems
  • Ability to ensure adherence to inventory processes and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts for stock counts, required once a week or fortnight, starting at 9:00 pm

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • Evening 9:00 pm shift required once a week or fortnight for stock counts

Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the Inventory Manager during the onboarding period.

Location: This role is office-based in Wiri, Auckland, with significant time spent in the warehouse environment.
