We believe the way we do things really does make a difference in the lives of those who live in our communities and as Consents Engineer within our consent engineering team you'll play a significant part in this by shaping the future of our district.


You will be responsible for ensuring that new development's infrastructure is designed to current standards by advising, reviewing and inspecting urban and rural resource consents and building consents.


Our ideal applicant will hold a New Zealand Diploma in Civil Engineering however applicants with relevant engineering and development experience may be considered.


To thrive in this role you will be somebody who has good time management skills, as the position often requires the management of multiple projects simultaneously.

Additionally, you will need strong problem solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.

Being a team player with a good sense of humour will also be key.
