The Orthopaedic service as part of the Surgical Directorate provides high quality care to tāngata māuiui |patients across New Zealand.

The team is made up of clinical experts who are dedicated and focused on providing quality health outcomes for the tāngata māuiui |patients that come into their care.

The Orthopaedic service provides care to planned and acute patients. Our specialised nursing team perform based on clinical skill, research, education and innovation.

Our commitment is to the highest levels of clinical quality, providing the best standards of personalised care possible to our tāngata māuiui.

The Service is looking for a Māori Nurse with experience in working with large teams in a busy and complex environment.

As a Māori Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Orthopaedics, you will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge in Tikanga Māori, advanced clinical skills, and be an excellent communicator and team member.

You will be accountable for care delivery and coordination for cardiovascular tāngata māuiui and will work in collaboration with other Nurse Specialists and multidisciplinary team members across the continuum of care.

You will be on a Nurse Specialist pathway.

Key to your success will be alignment with our values here at Te Toka Tumai and have a good understanding of our Directorate's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations.
