The IDEA Services team in Gisborne has a fantastic opportunity for a current employee to join us as a Schedule Coordinator
to provide exceptional support to our managers.


  • We are a close knit and inclusive team dedicated to the work that we do
  • Rostering requirements for Support Workers based across the Gisborne area.
- $ $27.09 per hour, dependant on experience

  • Permanent position, 40hours per week.

About the role:


Your role as a Schedule Coordinator will see you building strong and trusting relationships with Support Workers and their managers (Service Managers) to successfully deliver rosters.

This is a vital role that ensures that the people we support continue to receive services with mínimal disruption.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with Support Workers to fill rosters and manage shortnotice sick leave requirements.
  • Support Service Managers with unplanned shift coverage when required.
  • Maintain up to date working schedules by managing planned shift changes.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will bring:

  • Ability to build trusting working relationships quickly.
  • Previous administration experience (scheduling or rostering experience highly desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a professional telephone manner.
  • Experience with Conflict Management and the ability to reach an outcome quickly.
  • Experience working within a variable environment and the ability to prioritise to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Confidence with computer systems including Microsoft Office suite, and the aptitude to learn new systems quickly.
