The Programme Manager Māori will be responsible for the successful planning and implementation of releases for Kaupapa Māori and Māori medium initiatives.

For these two Programme Manager roles we are seeking capable and motivated professionals with an understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and the role of the Crown in giving effect to Te Tiriti.
You will have knowledge and experience in approaches to successful implementation of programmes and initiatives that are founded on Te Ao Māori, and tikanga/te reo Māori.
You are a natural collaborator and have a great track record of achieving results through influence and partnership. You are a strong team player; focused on results, driving greater equity and better education for all.You have significant knowledge of programme, project and change management disciplines, tools, and techniques and strength and experience in building and maintaining trusted relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, iwi and Māori.
Mātau rōpū ake | About our ministry, group, and teamAt Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.
Te Pae Aronui was established within Te Mahau to provide the education sector with support and services that are more locally responsive, more accessible, and integrated.
We support a proactive and future-focused Te Tāhuhu that delivers on equity and excellence for all ākonga.By 2025, we aspire to transform Te Pae Aronui so that:
people are thriving, connections are strong, the system is sound and we are producing equitable outcomes for ākonga and whānau.
The Sector Change and Implementation Group supports Te Tāhuhu (Ministry of Education) to successfully implement initiatives, services and policies that impact the Education sector, our frontline takiwā (regional) staff and ākonga and whānau.
We partner with our takiwā colleagues to understand local context and priorities, and to support their leadership of successful change in the sector.
The Portfolio and Support Team oversees the implementation of major work programmes delivering change into Te Mahau and the sector.
