The Pride is one of the largest breweries in New Zealand and is home to some of New Zealand's most iconic and beloved beverage brands, from Steinlager and Lindauer through to Mac's, Wither Hills, Speight's and Panhead.


The Role
Join our quality leadership team at The Pride to manage our onsite lab and influence across the site on quality

  • Leadership of the laboratory team drive continuous improvement, maintain standards and manage 2 quality assurance analysts
  • Be a champion for GMP, food safety and quality systems
  • Partner with production leaders across beverage and packaging to provide insights and roll out new standards and processes
  • Manage the relationship with our chemical supplier
  • Represent the quality team in our TPM implementation across the site
  • Find efficiencies and improvements across cost, waste and other areas
  • Accountable for the lab's P&L


It's an exciting time as we embark on our TPM journey around quality - this role will suit you if you enjoy seeking opportunities to improve and challenge the status quo.


About You
Bring your experience in either quality assurance, quality control, a lab environment, process engineering or validation, as well as

  • Quality assurance technical knowledge
  • A science degree
  • Leadership qualities to manage your team and influence across the site
  • Exposure to a budget or P&L
  • A background within TPM or lean methodology will be advantageous but is not essential (full training provided)
