We are passionate about what we do and the culture we have developed.

The more diverse we are, the better our ideas, strategies and client solutions will be and the more we will better represent our world.

We know we are stronger when people from different backgrounds and perspectives work together.

We are committed to growing an environment where our people have equal opportunity to build a career that reflects their ability and passions, believe in their potential, feel they belong and can be their best selves.

We are proudly employee-owned, and after a century of operation, employee ownership remains key to our future.

It underpins our positive, purpose-driven, growth-oriented culture; it sets us apart in our markets and gives meaning to our social contract.

We are accountable, have each other's backs, don't let others down, and strive for excellence in everything we do.

The opportunity

Our Survey team provide surveying services for large infrastructure, construction, land development, geodetic, 3D modelling, and topographic and cadastral projects.

As a national team of over 60, we are excited about the opportunities ahead of us. Together we make things happen on projects throughout Aotearoa, Australia, the Pacific and South-East Asia.

Our projects include some of the most significant Cadastral and Land Development projects across Wellington, nationally and across the Pacific region.

Our varied workload means you are given the opportunity to specialise or diversify your skills across any area of survey, be it topographic, cadastral or set-out, using all the latest tools and techniques, including 3D scanning, UAV and modelling of point cloud data.

About you

Whether you are just starting out or have 15 years of experience, we may have a role to suit you.

We are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership and a record of delivering on time while also being open to developing your client-facing skills.

With a desire to grow your skills and develop yourself professionally, as well as share your knowledge whilst learning from those around you.

Ideally, you will start with a good level of competency in GNSS, robotic total stations, LandOnline and survey software; proficiency in 12d would be preferred but not essential.

You will embrace challenges like learning and leading with a mindset of continual improvement. You will be a value-driven person who enjoys sharing your colleagues' successes and delivering excellence for your clients.

You will have the desire to grow your skills and develop yourself professionally, as well as assist with mentoring and developing junior staff.

What we offer
A career with Beca will provide you with the following:

  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Access to a modern fleet of equipment, including Scanners, UAVs, GNSS and TPS, supported by an extensive suite of software tools beyond the standard.
  • A supportive and caring work environment where you can bring your whole self to work.
  • Flexible working arrangements to balance your personal / family commitments.
  • We can learn from our industry experts and technical gurus on the project or by getting stuck in with our national technical development group, drawing on our best ideas to keep Beca at the forefront of survey technology.
  • A highly supportive environment of sharing and collaboration.
  • Excellent benefits are provided to all staff including discounted health insurance, discounts on gym memberships, and a huge number of social club events.

Beca prides itself on supporting a diverse and inclusive culture - open to inputs from creative people of all genders, ethnicity, identity, thought and experiences.
