**The Opportunity | Te kōwhiringa**
In the role of Surveyor you will support the project by organising or actioning surveying requirements on the contracts / projects to ensure work is carried out to the contract programme and specification.
The primary function of this role will be will be liaising with the appropriate team members ensuring design information is collated and checked, survey fieldwork is executed correctly and in a timely manner and all as built information is captured and presented to the required standards.
With an eye for detail and drive to ensure top-quality work is delivered safely in a tight timeframe. You will have strong working relationships with the Project Director, Project Manager, Survey Manager, Project and Site Engineers along with other Surveyors on site.
**Important Skills | Nga pūkenga matua**
- Hold a recognised qualification in Surveying, such as NZ Certificate in Land Surveying or Diploma in Surveying or Bachelor of Surveying.
- 5 years construction experience including
- 2 years working in a New Zealand environment.
- 2 years of Tier 1 construction project experience or major infrastructure project experience
- Previous rail experience and experience leader junior staff is beneficial.
- Competent with modern survey software packages.
- Competent with current survey hardware systems including total station, GNSS and precise levelling equipment.
- A proven track record of working autonomously and as contributing member of a team.
