Overview:

Join our client, a successful medium-sized firm in Auckland CBD, as a Legal Secretary supporting the Property team. You will handle secretarial tasks while assisting with property transactions and enjoying a supportive team environment.

Our client is offering an incredible chance to add to their dynamic team. As a Legal Secretary with our client, you will be at the forefront of the action, providing essential support to esteemed partners, solicitors, and legal executives in our clients' Property team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing files efficiently to ensure smooth operations within the Property team.
  • Transcribing dictation accurately to facilitate the creation of legal documents.
  • Drafting legal documents related to property transactions with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Handling Landonline tasks proficiently to support property transactions and e-dealings
  • Managing billing and invoicing responsibilities effectively.
  • Undertaking various ad-hoc administrative duties as required to maintain operational efficiency within the team.
  • Proactive with diary management.

Your role will be as diverse as it is stimulating.

About you:

Our client is looking for someone who has the confidence and initiative to work autonomously but also enjoys working in a team environment. You'll be an experienced operator who demonstrates sound initiative and is passionate about improving the overall efficiencies of the team.

Additionally, you will have:

  • 2+ years of recent experience in property law and full exposure to residential conveyancing processes.
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, with a hands-on role in property files.
  • Experience in monthly invoicing, booking travel, and supporting multiple authors at once.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to assist others.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both internally as a part of a team and with external parties
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a variety of IT applications, including specialist legal software.
