Our team at SkyCity Hamilton are seeking a new Security & Safety Manager to come and join us.

Heading up our Security Team, you'll be responsible for managing the security and safety of SkyCity Hamilton and supporting colleagues to implement compliance functions, including emergency preparedness, AML and Host Responsibility at SkyCity Hamilton.

About you:


Driven to ensure high-quality security and safety services to protect company assets, customers and employees - you'll be ready to take the next step in your Senior Security Management career; taking full ownership of SkyCity Hamilton's security and safety processes and programmes.


Accustomed to leading a large culturally diverse team, you'll be passionate about coaching and developing others and fostering a strong positive team culture.


You'll be focused on achieving results, while having the ability to develop strong working relationships quickly throughout the business as well as with external agencies including the Police and Department of Internal Affairs.


You'll bring:

  • Upwards of 5 years' proven leadership & workforce management experience, preferably in a highly regulated and complex organisation
  • Experience and knowledge of access control, CCTV and emergency response planning and
  • Demonstrated people leadership in implementing and supporting a positive risk and compliance culture and business vision by engaging and developing others
  • Ability to facilitate and deliver training
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication including report writing
  • Proven ability to maintain and build strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility in your availability to work nights and weekends when required

The 'must haves':

Your written and spoken English language communication will need to be top notch.

You will need to hold, or be able to obtain, a Certificate of Approval from the DIA which involves a Criminal History check.
