Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker at Te Whetu Tawera (TWT) the 58-bed acute inpatient mental health unit at Auckland City Hospital.
We are located next to the beautiful Auckland City Domain, close to the scenic harbour and the City Centre, with access to public transport including bus and trains.
We have worked hard to build a great culture in our team.We have Social Worker assistants to support with tasks like finding accommodation and sorting benefits, leaving the Social Worker with time to do intensive assessments, family/relationship work and support planning.
This is a multi-disciplinary team, it's fast paced and can be stressful, but with great variation and not a lot of downtime, the days are rewarding and full.
There is a full month orientation to start, and ongoing weekly supervision, to share the load.
