Minimum Requirements:

  • Atleast ONE year work experience in any retail industry
  • Must be ready to work in a rostered 7day week operation
  • Must be ready to work in early start or late finish rostered shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the store manager to ensure smooth running of the retail store
  • Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
  • Ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services
  • Ensure all customer complaint are resolved amicably and promptly
  • Ensuring prompt follow up on customer product demands
  • Hygienic preparation, handling, and storage of hot food and snacks
  • Sell goods to customers, advise, and recommend products
  • Manage the POS Machine, cash drawer and customer payments
  • Daily cash reconciliation, petty cash, and banking
  • All display labels as in description and price is correct
  • Examining all the product best before and use by dates and acting appropriately
  • Taking responsibility for opening and closing the store
  • Assist the manager to make purchases from wholesalers and larger supermarkets
  • Planning and preparing work schedules and assigning staff to specific duties
  • Instructing staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales procedures
  • Organising products, displays and promotion for advertisements
  • Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action
  • Keeping records of inwards goods register
  • Assist in taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock
  • Ensuring that goods and services are correctly priced and displayed
  • Assist the manager in planning and coordinating the product pricing
  • Ensure correct receiving and stocking of goods and placing correct codes on stock
  • Assist the manager to prepare the weekly roster and timesheets
  • Ensuring CCTV is always maintained and operational
  • Ensure the business and staff compliance with Health & Safety Regulations
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe store environment for customers and staff

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$ $30.00 per hour
