To support our growth within the region and our significant project wins we are looking for an experienced Senior Land Development Engineer to join us and work with key clients in the land development sector primarily working on redevelopment of public housing, however given our involvement in land development projects across New Zealand and further afield, you will also have the opportunity to work on other projects throughout New Zealand across the Pacific.

Each day will be varied and provide new opportunities; however you will primarily be responsible for:

  • Providing technical mentoring, guidance and support to other members of the team
  • Planning, managing and leading the civil design delivery of a large programme of works, including being responsible for resource planning, budgets and quality
  • Developing and managing effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, project partners and internal team members
  • Technical review and verification of civil designs prepared by others
  • Timely delivery of design packages

You love to share knowledge and you're someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You are an experienced Senior Civil Engineer operating in the Land Development sector with a passion for design and problem-solving. You're motivated and keen to succeed and make a difference. You have broad general civil engineering design skills, with particular experience in the design, consenting and delivery of site development/ land development projects in New Zealand. Previous design team leadership or people management experience would be advantageous in the role, however this isn't essential and could be an opportunity for a high performer to step up into a leadership role.

You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer (or working towards this) and will have knowledge and skills in working with software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3d or 12d. You will have an enquiring mind, able to problem solve and think laterally. How you work is also important to us – we will value your experience and skill in developing others and ability to provide overarching design leadership capability.
