Join a team whose front-line professionalism and seamless corporate support pave the way to business success

Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Beca's Corporate Services Team provides a range of front-line, coordination and facilities management services to ensure our business functions seamlessly and effectively.

As 'first impression ambassadors', this team helps make everyday better for our employees and our visitors, smoothing the path and providing the environment for our people to thrive - they literally keep the lights on

Representing our values of Partnership, Tenacity, Enjoyment, and Care, our Events Coordinator collaborates closely with Receptionists, Facilities Coordinators, and Administrators throughout Beca.

This pivotal role involves coordinating both internal and external events, ensuring seamless arrangements for meeting rooms, equipment, catering, and specific requirements to meet the event objectives.

By contributing to the success of these events, you will be an integral part of what sets Beca apart.

Embracing a team-oriented approach, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with team members to manage event logistics, including venue preparation, equipment setup, and coordination of catering services.
  • Serving as a point of contact for events, and effectively manage the calendar for training room and auditorium room requests.
  • Assisting in event administration tasks such as documentation, budget tracking, and postevent evaluations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all participants.
  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere by delivering a welcoming "meet and greet" experience for guests attending events.
  • Contribute to the overall objectives and functions of colleagues within the team, offering support as needed, including providing relief on the Reception desk when necessary.

Ko wai koe | About you
Bring your experience in the hotel or hospitality sectors to the forefront as a Meeting Room and Events Coordinator. Your passion for exceptional customer service will effortlessly expect and fulfil requests, whether through phone or in-person interactions. Engaging with people and fostering a welcoming environment for event participants is where you thrive.

With solid Microsoft Office skills and an eagerness to embrace new technologies, you'll support the success of our events and help others navigate our tools.

Your positive "can-do" attitude ensures flexibility and adaptability in handling tasks and shifting priorities.

As a team player, you're curious, eager to learn, and always ready to contribute your skills to support colleagues and the overall business.
