Three Waters Transition Manager

About the Role


The purpose of this role is to support and lead the effective coordination of the 3 Waters Reform Transition Programme.

This includes supporting the Executive Leadership Team with timelines, milestones, inter-dependencies, associated risks and issues.

You will work closely with the General Manager of People & Transformation who is responsible for supporting our 3 Waters Staff through the reform including any inter-dependencies and flow-on effects.


Do you have what it takes?
This is a busy role with plenty of variety.

From collaboration with internal staff to management of external stakeholder relationships including contractors, the National Transition Unit, and the Entity B Local Transition Team ensuring the effective transition of individuals and systems is aligned with Council's services and strategic planning.

You will also play a part in ensuring the effects of the Three Waters Reforms on the future design and structure of the organisation are well understood, as well as providing advice on the best possible future structure and management of associated impacts.


About You


You are a talented team player with a university degree in a business-related field who has a "can-do" attitude and is looking for a career-transforming opportunity.

You will have the ability to connect and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, building and nurturing new relationships, and your communication skills will be of a high calibre enabling you to engage with a range of key audiences.

You will enjoy taking on new challenges and drawing on your technical expertise to manage complex situations to achieve a successful outcome.

Local government and public sector knowledge would be an advantage as is knowledge of and demonstrated experience in managing and delivering projects.


This is a full-time fixed-term position for 18 months - 2 years.
