_About the role_


This newly created role provides exciting scope and opportunity to bring your broad contracting experience and industry knowledge to one of New Zealand's fastest growing Districts.


As our independent Engineer to Contract you will provide expert advice and guidance relating to contracts and projects within the Infrastructure and Property Group ensuring we are delivering effectively, efficiently and in accordance with agreed contracts.


Alongside overseeing contracts and projects at a high level, this role provides the opportunity to establish new systems and processes within these workstreams to streamline operational delivery.


_ About you _


To be successful in this role you will be an expert in contract management who is respected across the industry.

You'll have proven ability to make impartial, sound decisions and fair judgement calls in every situation.

  • 15+ years experience leading contract negotiations in a multidisciplinary organisation
  • Graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Surveying, Property Management or equivalent
  • Proven ability to lead teams to successfully deliver on agreed outcomes
  • Significant experience in contract management, site supervision and quality control

The Infrastructure & Property Group delivers the core services that rate payers expect (and government mandates). These include roading, water services, parks and reserves, solid waste, emergency management, and the management of property holdings.
