Mō tēnei tūranga | About this roleAs part of the National Property Services team in TPHM you will contribute to the Ministry's commitment to the Treaty settlement work programme led by the Office for Crown Maori Relations (OCMR) - Te Arawhiti.
Reporting to the Manager - Treaty Settlements, you will work with Te Arawhiti to lead and manage processes related to Education property redress included in treaty settlements.
You will also contribute to the development of high quality, timely advice for Ministers on complex operational process and policy matters related to Education property redress.
You will also be required to contribute to wider National Property Services team or TPHM deliverables.For more information on this position, please read through the attached Job Description

You have proven expertise and abilities in efficiently and effectively managing business processes and undertaking critical tasks to ensure timely achievements of process and project milestones.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven ability to develop and nurture strong working relationships and networks with a range of external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills and experience with a record of achieving milestones and deliverables within specified timeframes
- Expertise in the provision of robust advice to government on complex process and policy related issues and matters
- Excellent oral and written communications, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely
- Tertiary qualification in public policy, education, economics, law or relevant disciplines or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.
At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.

Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko (TPHM), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments.
TPHM manages the Crown's second largest property portfolio of around 2,500 schools with a book value of $17.8 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
