The Ambulatory Care Centre is seeking to employ a registered nurse, committed to providing excellent patient care, to join our busy Outpatient department.

Outpatient clinics based in the Ambulatory Care department include:

  • General Surgery
  • Ophthalmology
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Orthopaedics
  • General Medicine
  • Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Cardiology
  • Neurology
  • Dermatology
  • Infectious Disease
  • Rheumatology


Hours of work will be on an as and when required basis (no guaranteed hours) working rostered shifts between 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.


Essential requirements include:

  • The ability to work at short notice to cover clinics
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Meeting the requirements of the NZ Nursing Council to practice
  • The ability to adapt easily in a changing environment
  • The ability to be flexible and prioritise
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to function independently within the scope of practice
  • Current drivers licence
  • A high degree of physical capacity
