ABOUT SUPPLY CHAIN AT ROCKET LAB
Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits that enable our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
Purchasing Coordinators are key resources within the purchasing function, supporting Buyers to ensure the timely delivery of purchased materials from our global supply chain. Purchasing Coordinators follow up with vendors for updated status on open orders, expedite deliveries where needed, and help resolve any problem orders within our procure-to-pay process. Collaborating onsite with our trusted procurement and global teams, you'll get the opportunity to learn from the best and see our rockets under production. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to clearly communicate, manage work tasks, and provide status updates Quick to pick up new systems working on complex projects with a self-starter mentality Team-oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently Exposure to procurement processes (purchasing/inventory planning expertise favourable)THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
