What you'll be doing / He aha te mahi

A varied and interesting role with exposure to many different streams of work, you'll primarily be tasked with managing the delivery of infrastructure projects as part of the Infrastructure Delivery Team.

The role will involve:

  • Developing the Project Execution Plan in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Managing the project in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and/or Project Charter
  • Controlling the project scope to budget and ensuring appropriate change control processes are followed
  • Reporting and managing schedule risks ensuring that appropriate controls are implemented
  • Completing monthly, annual, and project lifecycle cashflow forecasting
  • Planning and managing procurement of professional services and construction services

What you'll bring to the role / Ko wai to Pukeka

You'll be tertiary qualified and will have detailed knowledge of Project Management methodologies including PRINCE2 and/or PMBOK. You'll have experience delivering capital infrastructure projects either directly within a local government setting or for a related private business. Your strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills will set you up for success.

To best succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • Demonstratable project management experience in infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey messages to those with varying levels of understanding
  • Experience mentoring junior employees
  • Strong negotiation skills
